Undertake site selection and design works for a first Meadowbrook Mobility Hub. The intent would be to provide one Mobility Hub as a trial in a key location within the centre.
The purpose of a mobility hub is to provide supporting facilities for alternative modes of transport that support reduced car use and are located/become a focal point within an area.
Facilities to support this can include:
Access to Public Transport within the immediate vicinity
Car share schemes
Dedicated kerb space for ride share providers and taxis
End of trip facilities for Active Transport
Bicycle parking and repair facilities
Travel information and way finding signage for routes.
Private mobility device (i.e. scooters etc) parking and charging facilities.
