Phase 2 Community Engagement results

In October 2024, we conducted phase 2 of engagement.

Ways that we engaged the community included resident workshops, school engagements, community pop-ups, and the Council's online platform. Community consultation included:

• 120 primary school students
• 25 face-to-face interactions
• 179 visitors to the Council's Have Your Say page

57% of online survey respondents were very supportive of the concept design.

Community feedback highlighted the top 3 important topics in the Mabel Park design included:

• No worsening of existing flooding
• The creek is naturalised
• Interacting directly with nature (e.g., through creek access and citizen science opportunities)
