Striving for Gold- Logan's Games Legacy event
On 7 May at the Striving for Gold – Logan’s Games Legacy event, Council was delighted to host representatives from community, business, government, sporting clubs and organisations plus key 2032 Games planning organisations to share ‘big ideas’ on what the Brisbane 2032 Olympics and Paralympics can bring to Logan in the lead up to the Games and beyond.
An exceptional line-up of speakers guided by MC, 5-time Olympian Natalie Cook OAM OLY shared their knowledge on what Logan’s Legacy could be before attendees identified and developed gold, silver and bronze medal ideas that have the potential to deliver long term social and economic benefits to the city.
Keep an eye on this page and social media platforms for an event wrap up in the coming weeks.
Feedback from the forum will be collated and will help inform Council’s Games Legacy Action Plan, ensuring that when the world comes for the 2032 Games, Logan will be ready to take full advantage of the opportunity and to create a lasting legacy for the city.
If you’d like to provide any further feedback on the event or Games legacy planning, please contact Council at council@logan.qld.gov.au.
