The history of the Mabel Park waterway: Historical records of the site since circa 1946 show that the creek has moved a lot in the last 78 years. The creek was lined with concrete in the early 1970s because of the engineering ideas of that time. Today, we have a better understanding of how water systems work, which allows us to manage natural waterways in more effective ways
